The family, whose anonymity is being protected, spoke to The Duke and Duchess about the circumstances that led their son to reach out to Shout. After suffering from high levels of anxiety and poor mental health which were exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, he had reached the decision to take his own life. However, on receiving support from a Shout Volunteer via the anonymous textline, he was able to contact the police for help instead of ending his life, before starting to open up about the extent of his challenges. They're on a zoom with "a family about the life-saving support that Shout 85258 provided to their twelve-year-old son when he was at a point of crisis, and the importance of being able to seek help and access vital mental health support when it is needed most." Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge Speak to People with Health Conditions About the Positive Impact of the Covid-19 Vaccine, Kensington Palace, UK - 27 Feb 2021 Fiona Doyle, who lives with asthma, and Shivali Modha, who has type 2 diabetes, are both at higher risk from Covid-19 and are clinically vulnerable. Together with their families, they shared their experiences of the pandemic with Their Royal Highnesses, and discussed their recent eligibility for the vaccine as part of Priority Group 6, and the positive impact the vaccine will have upon have upon their own lives moving forward. These calls follow recent news that the UK’s leading health charities have joined forces to form a coalition to help promote vaccine uptake amongst those with long-term health conditions, who are now being offered the vaccine. Included in the coalition is Diabetes UK and Asthma UK, who have supported Shivali and Fiona throughout the pandemic. And here, per Informative Caption, these two "spoke via video call to two individuals with long-term health conditions who have been shielding with their families over the course of the past year, and who are now eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccine." I appreciate that it looks as if they're levitating this laptop. I also think William is wearing the same shirt under different sweaters here.
