In this time of thanksgiving, I am grateful that we live in a world where Prince Harry is photographed giving finger guns to Ginger Spice. Obviously they know each other from their ginger spice meetings (also attended by other saucy redheads, like Megan Follows and Jessica Chastain).
This was post-Trip to Oman. There was some polo in Abu Dhabi, as we covered last week, and then he went to the F1 Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi, and ALLEGEDLY (per Twitter and Instagram) then hit a yacht and got all drunky/funky. (Not in a bad way, from what I understand. Just in a....I'm On A Yacht way.)
You saw this yesterday and the reason I am throwing it in now is that (a) she looks pretty but also (b) I'm about to show you a detail picture of her ponytail and it seemed weird to be like, "and here's the back of Kate's head," just out of nowhere.
And here's the back of Kate's head. I think she's using this trick I read about in Cosmo, which is that you use bobby pins to prop up your ponytail for maximum jauntiness.
At an event early this week, The Master Of Ceremonies here accidentally introduced William as "the Duke of Edinburgh" (that is, of course, his grandfather). It does not seem like he was brutally punished for this error. W seems quite amused.
"Now, you want me to stand WHERE?" (I don't even know what was happening here, but I bet a bowl of the Chex Mix I've got percolating that it was logistical.)
"I'm just really excited to be at this event, as you can tell because for once I appear to be drinking, which never happens when I'm out with Kate because it seems mean to get loaded when she can't even eat soft cheese. You know? Is there any sushi at this thing? Lunch meat? Solidarity is so HARD."
"Look how jaunty I am with my bow tie slightly askew! Tell me more about this pizza place you like in New York. Tell me about all the pizzas." I assume Dishy Guru has already emailed Wills and Kate both that he wants the following out of this NYC trip, in addition to all their charitable events and the trip they're taking to the 9/11 monument, which shall be, I assume, free of whimsy: The two of them caught sharing a pretzel/slice/hot dog in the manner of Lady and the Tramp; a romantic row boat round the Central Park Lake...even though it'll be freezing...that one needs some work-shopping; ooh, adorably walking through snow in good hats as snowflakes melt on their nose and eyelashes; silver white winters that melt into....what am I talking about, again? Let's just agree this 72 hours in NYC better be cinematic or I'll be enraged.
Well, he's not TECHNICALLY royalty (although he's PLAYED royalty), but I thought you might want to see how dishy these two looked for Damian's OBE investiture at Buckingham Palace today. (Hello! has pictures of said event, in which we learn that Damian Lewis must be Actual Tall, rather than just Actor Tall, because he and William are nearly the same height.)
I'm scared Maxima here is wearing a Secret Jumpsuit. She DOES seem like the keeper of jumpsuit secrets, to be honest with you.
"I hope that's vodka," Mathilde thought.
I feel like Letizia has looked so much sassier lately -- this is totally cute -- and I decided it all dates from learning that her sister-in-law IS going on trial for financial shenanigans. ADA Letizia is pleased by JUSTICE.
"And then this fancy doohickey... yeah, sorry, Your Royal Highness. I don't know what it does, either."
Informative Caption tells me that: "Prince Charles...is shown examples of work by Operations Director Gary Speakman as he visits Thomas Fattorini Ltd, gold and Silversmiths in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter." Apparently, they "make medals and badges including Honours such as the MBE and CBE." Fancy! That sounds interesting. I always enjoy learning about people who make the Many Honorary Doohickies. Points also for Chaz's pocket square.
"Say, do you think I can borrow this Faberge egg for a bit? I swear I'll bring it back."
A) I love this coat on Camilla
B) I desperately wish these students -- of the Elmhurst School of Dance -- had given in to their impulse to give jazz hands en masse.
I am not sure WHAT this is, at the National Heritage Garden in Great Milton, but it's VERY charming, which is what I like in my tiny garden buildings.
"I suppose you're right. This rug COULD be worse. Let's all look on the bright side. Happy Thanksgiving, Americans! We hope you enjoy giving thanks for having survived your perilous journey to the Colonies or whatever it is you do on this day."
