Prince Harry put on his dress uniform and, as is traditional for him at this point, went over to Westminster Abby for the opening of their poppy-filled Field of Remembrance. It must be very pretty there.

Here, the Queen is admiring an exhibit of jade at the re-opening of The Sir Joseph Hotung Gallery at the British Museum, which looks fantastic, and we should all go. Per the museum: "Reopening after a major refurbishment, this beautiful gallery explores the cultures of China and South Asia through a range of magnificent objects. One half of the gallery presents the histories of China from 5000 BC to the present. From iconic Ming dynasty blue-and-white porcelain to delicate handscrolls, from exquisite Tang dynasty tomb figurines to contemporary ink paintings, the displays will feature calligraphy, painting, jade, silk and porcelain. The other half of the gallery will present South Asia’s many histories chronologically and by region, from early human occupation to the present. Highlights include seals from the Indus civilisation, superb south Indian sculptures of Shiva and one of the finest statues of the goddess Tara from Sri Lanka, sophisticated paintings and objects from the courts of the Mughal emperors, and paintings by the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore." We've got video of the Queen opening this gallery in the body of the post, and you really do need to see it. It's A DELIGHT.

Prince Charles and Camilla Duchess of Cornwall visit Malaysia - 06 Nov 2017
Camilla and Chaz are STILL out of the country, in Malaysia, and then briefly in India this week. It's been very interesting because the air pollution in New Delhi at the moment has been really intense. You can see it in some of the photos, and if you follow Chris Jackson, the Getty photographer, on Insta, it's been very prominent. (It's also all over the news.) It's even drifted inside buildings. ANYWAY, here's Charles learning how to blow poison darts at people. That should be useful.

Here, Chaz and Cams are visiting the Sarawak Cultural Village, and this is the perfect time to turn to Informative Caption! I wish I got to go to Malaysia to learn about traditional culture. I also love craft demonstrations and I am resentful that I'm not eating Malaysian food right now.

Camilla Duchess of Cornwall at an Elephant Family event
Prince Charles and Camilla Duchess of Cornwall visit to India - 08 Nov 2017
At the British High Commissioner's Residence, Their Royal Highnesses will meet Ruth Ganesh, Elephant Family Trustee, and Vikram Goyal, Elephant Family Patron, who will introduce sponsors and supporters of the Elephant Family charity. In the garden, The Prince and The Duchess will view the assembled 'Elephant Parade' created from painted sculptures and meet artists involved in the work. Their Royal Highnesses will then join a reception.
You can see the pollution in this photo. It looks like fog; it is not. Let's go to Informative Caption: "At the British High Commissioner's Residence, [Chaz and Cams] will meet Ruth Ganesh, Elephant Family Trustee, and Vikram Goyal, Elephant Family Patron, who will introduce sponsors and supporters of the Elephant Family charity. I believe this charity was started by Camilla's late brother, so it's very close to her heart.

Belgian Royals State Visit to India - 06 Nov 2017
It seems Mathilde and Philippe were also in India this week, and they took a series of photos at the Taj Mahal -- as mandated -- and they sort of make me laugh. It's like: MATHILDE: I don't want this to look too much like William and Kate's photo. PHILIPPE: Then let's switch sides. M: It's still basically the same. P: Maybe I'll scootch closer and tenderly place my hand on your thigh? M: THEN WE CAN'T SEE THE BUILDING, DUMMY.
