This is a VERY dramatic way to enter rooms. Once it gets cold, I can't wait to wear my mask with a cape. I shall pretend I'm the Phantom of the Opera.

Camilla and her FANTASTIC mask visited something called the "Royal Voluntary Service Mill End lunch club," where she served trifles! And chatted with volunteers, "who have overcome recent challenges posed by the pandemic to reinstate the much-needed lunch sessions." The best I can tell is that this is an organization that feeds lunch and provides socialization opportunities to seniors, and that is a very very nice cause! It's also very in Camilla's wheelhouse -- she is terrifically good at chatting with old people, which is one of the things I like about her.

The Duchess will tour the facilities and learn how Maggie's have had to adapt their services during the COVID-19 crisis.
This was a visit to a cancer centre; she definitely wore her mask inside the whole time.

Meanwhile, Sophie "joins Tomas Cardillo-Zallo, a member of Mencap's Learning Disability Running team, with mum Sue acting as his guide runner, for the first 1.5 miles of their virtual London Marathon.... That's lovely and also making that 1.5 miles part of the Long Walk in Windsor here is ambitious -- you can see how uphill it gets!

They're popping in for the opening of Parliament and Crown Princess Mary's skirt looks so dramatic here. I also love her shoes.

Mette- Marit -- who is a noted lover of books! -- hosted a chat with author Geir Gulliksen. She looks fantastic, although of course I have Shoe-Related Notes. I also spent a LOT of time trying to figure out if Haakon is wearing weird jeans. I think....no?

Crown Princess Victoria attends inauguration of a sculpture depicting children's book author Astrid Lindgren, Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital, Solna outside Stockholm, Sweden - 08 Oct 2020
Behold "Crown Princess Victoria attending the inauguration of a sculpture depicting children's book author Astrid Lindgren. Maija Sinisalo helped the Crown Princess with the unveiling." That very cute child seems slightly less delighted than Victoria, in a way that delights ME.
