These pants are from the Gap and I have them in another (similar) print, so it stands to reason that I approve of them -- you know I love a wacky pant. I also happen to own that jacket, so thumbs up to that as well. OBVIOUSLY these shoes are a BONKERS choice of wrong, though. Kate. Look at yourself. Look at your outfit. WEAR YOUR NAVY WEDGES AT LEAST.

I guess it rained much of the day today, so a lot of the plans for their visit were scuttled (and a lot of people had issues actually getting to the island). Obviously, when it's raining, one visits the Rain Forest Biom, which is the world's largest indoor rain forest. Wills, in particular, seems to be appreciating this.

Why am I not at the rum stand right now? WHY. (Also, Kate, these shoes are hilarious with this outfit. It would have been super cute with, say, loafers. LEAN IN to the schoolboy blazer.)

Everyone must have been relieved when the sun came out for the photo opp.

"What do you think, Poppet? Should we put a rain forest biodome in the backyard? HARRY CAN RUN THE RUM STAND! This is a great plan!"

"Bye, everyone! We're off to open our rum shack, the Royal Rum Stand and Mai Tai Emporium!"

Meanwhile Maxima is wearing a VERY busy dress that I also kind of enjoy -- although I feel like the belt sort of pushes it over the edge into crazy, for some reason. Here, she is DELIGHTED to meet Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, who ALSO seems thrilled by this turn of events. (Max is there as "the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNDP) to address the Indonesian FinTech conference.")

This is Indonesian President Joko Widodo and and First Lady Iriana Widodo. Fun fact, per Wiki, President Widodo is a huge fan of heavy metal and once had a signed guitar confiscated by Indonesia's anti-corruption agency, which seems way harsh.

Meanwhile, in Brussels, all the royals are off to school again. As ever, all of Mathilde looks chic and fabulous until her hair kind of pushes her in front of the train to Newscaster Land.

And, finally, Queen Rania is at Amman Design Week in Jordan at the moment, and she's been looking very stylish indeed. I follow her on Instagram, and her Insta Stories from this event have been REALLY neat. It's really cool to be able to wake up and watch her visit a variety of interesting artists in Jordan while I am still in my bed in Los Angeles. (I use Insta as my First In The Morning Social Media Stop because it's generally more gentle and has fewer real world terrors than, say, Twitter, or the news, and ergo allows me to start my day with some modicum of peace.) I've got more snaps from that trip in the body of the post if you want to see them.
