Our friends at What Would Kate Do have all the pertinent deets about Kate's outing this morning, which was to the Rehabilitation of Addicted Prisoners Trust. I, of course, am here to talk about something JUST AS IMPORTANT as rehabilitation, fighting drug addiction, and the complex issues of crime as it intersects with mental illness and addiction, namely Kate's bangs. Even in these next few photos, I go back and forth on them: in one shot, I like them, in the next I do not. They are the Two Face of bangs. What I DO like, however, is the texture of this fabric. It feels very Grown up Professional Elegant Lady.

Indeed, I actually like this entire outfit -- the shoes are grey suede, which I appreciate -- it's appropriately professional and sort of subtle. Which is kind of her entire MO at an event like this, and should be. You cannot roll into a rehab center in an outfit that's all ME ME ME ME MEEEEE. Like, if she were wearing this to a Ladies Luncheon Celebrating Celebrity Child Artists, I'd wonder if it needed color, but I think Subtle was the way to go here, because you don't want your outfit to be the focal point of the event.

Something about the fact that you can see everyone in the guard house -- or whatever -- peering out the window at the shenanigans here gives this shot a special "NEXT SEASON: ON ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK" feeling. (People also has good coverage of the visit, and shots from inside; the inmates gave Kate aprons for the kids and honey from the facility's bees.)

"YOUR bangs are great! Mine might look okay here?"
"I don't know, Kate. I do important work here and part of that involves giving the truth to people in a straightforward manner, and honestly, I just DON'T KNOW."

Over to Harry's shenanigans this week. Now, were I Mrs Prince Harry -- and obviously one day I SHALL BE -- I would have hoped most fervently that he would bring his hard hat home.

As, I'm sure, did Kate. Of William, I mean. At least, I HOPE OF WILLIAM.
Speaking of, Wills looks so serious here! He is going to CONSTRUCT THINGS and he is going to do it PROPERLY. It's handsome. I love a competent man. Let's check in with Informative Caption: "Prince William and Prince Harry tour a building site as work continues to help renovate homes for ex-service personnel as part of the BBC television series DIY SOS." Informative Caption needs to work on its run-on sentences. Anyway, they actually also pitched in: William painted things, and Harry dug stuff, from what I could tell. Literally dug stuff, like holes. Not, like, wandered around being like, "oh, hey, granite countertops! I dig that."

In addition, obviously, to their hard-hat modeling.

If I may quote from my own tweet:
Harry: Oh, shit. Was I supposed to wear something nicer?
WILLS: YES HARRY.

We covered Kate and Harry and Wills at the opening of the Rugby World Cup last week, but there are new photos now, and I know you wanted to see all of Kate's (enviable) coat...

...not to mention, Sports Faces Plus William's Glasses.

I LOVE this photo. Well done, Royal Photogs, as ever. Ahem: "Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, Honorary Air Commandant of Royal Air Force Coningsby, chats to Battle of Britain pilot flying officer Ken Wilkinson during a visit to the RAF station to observe the 100th Anniversary Parade of 29 (Reserve) Squadron, on September 22, 2015 in Coningsby, England. The air base is also home to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, of which The Duke is Patron."

I enjoy that surely there were some Events Planning Meetings at Kensington Palace wherein SOMEONE said, "well, if HE gets to fly a plane commemorating the Battle of Britain, I ALSO get to fly a plane commemorating the Battle of Britain!" And someone in charge of scheduling these sorts of things was like, "yeah, yeah, cool your royal jets. No pun intended." And then Kate floated through, brushing her hair as woodland creatures helped her to dress for the day.

This all feels very Top Gun. I assume Kate has that shot taped to the inside of her locker at the Kensington Palace gym.

Here, "the Wales Captain Sam Warburton receives his Rugby World Cup 2015 Cap and medal from The Duke of Cambridge," in front of a harp, because it's the national instrument of Wales and also because there's nothing classier than giving awards out in front of a harp, am I right? (I feel like Mr Warbuton might be handsome.)

Meanwhile, over in the Netherlands, Maxima is whacking gongs in giant hats.

And this is apparently the "new visitor center of the Netherlands Bank" and I'd just like to ask WTF kind of banks do you have in the Netherlands where you are all lying down and relaxing in the waiting area? Do you have to wait THAT LONG to get change for your laundry?????

I generally am not that into Letizia's District Attorney Gear, but this is GOOD. I will totally accept her plea bargain agreement.

"Shit, Felipe. Did you remember to turn off the pizza oven?!?'

I generally think Queen Rania is a total dish, but this jumpsuit rather looks as if it's growing on her.

And finally, in Milan, Charlotte Casiraghi of course attended the Gucci show, as she is a Gucci spokesmodel. She looks lovely but also like she MIGHT give me a seizure.
