So, I cannot resist sharing what it happening here and you will know why. Per Getty: "Queen Elizabeth II is greeted by pupils waving the British national flag at Reed's School on March 6, 2014 in Cobham, England. The school was originally founded in 1813 in the east end of London, as the London Orphan Asylum." IT'S THE ORPHAN ASYLUM. Just imagine all the books we could write -- and which have been written already! -- set in the Orphan Asylum in 1813 in the East End. People WILL have peg legs in this book, and there will certainly be a kind prostitute with a heart of gold who eventually dies of consumption, and you KNOW the headmistress of the asylum is secretly addicted to opium. Note: the children pictured are not, as far as I know, orphans. At least, not all of them.
The No-Longer-Plucky-Orphans made the Queen a robot! I enjoy how much her hat looks like a delicious cake.
How many pairs of those shoes do you think she owns?
Again per Getty, "Prince Harry plays sitting volleyball as he takes part in a match at the media launch for the Invictus Games 2014...The Invictus Games for wounded, injured and sick service personnel will use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding of those who serve the country." I can barely play standing volleyball.
Harry was busy at work this week; he also attended the National Service Of Thanksgiving To Celebrate The Life Of Nelson Mandela as his grandmother's representative. Have we talked about how I kind of have a thing about dudes buttoning up their suit jackets? I think it's sexy. You're learning weird stuff about me today! CONGRATULATIONS!
Full-length. That's a nice tie, also.
"Hello. I just love that cape."
Well, he's not technically royalty, but he was at the Mandela event and he is royally hot, so I'll allow it.
This is apparently a "UK global youth empowerment event," but I enjoy that this photo makes it look like Harry is in some royals-focused remake of Inception: a HARRY WITHIN A HARRY WITHIN A HARRY.
Our photo service claims this is Cressida "heckling" him during his speech, but they also spelled her name wrong, so perhaps it was merely what it actually looks like: a supportive WHOO HOO.
I was raising my brows a bit when I saw that Cressida here walked the step-and-repeat for this event, but so did Princess Beatrice (I believe she is the one who introduced Cressida to Harry), and so did Malala, so my brows are lowered. I have NEVER thought they were actually all that serious, but if she's getting the Step And Repeat Treatment (which Beatrice's boyfriend did not), something is definitely up. Additionally: if the Queen is giving Kate a makeover, I fear for what she will do to poor Cressida.
This outfit is fine. I feel like you either need to pick the shoes or the coat, but both together are a wee dowdy.
This photo makes me laugh. Apparently, she sprained her ankle skiing. What the story about it in the Daily Mail I Know teaches us all is that Prince Daniel looks weirdly hot in sunglasses and with facial scruff. I am not sure how I feel about her tunic.
We talked about this a bit yesterday, but Charlene continues to look great when unattached to You Know Who.
Queen Maxima looks sassy in this red dress!
The man talking to Letizia is Enrique V. Iglesias, Secretary General of the Iberoamerican Secretariat. I am glad they threw the V in there or I might have thought it was Enrique "Hero" Iglesias. I kind of wish they WOULD hire him for some governmental purposes. This Iglesias DOES seem to be asking her if he can be her hero.
