## Sally and DDL

He is so good-looking and if Sally Field likes you, so do I. They spend all of these awards shows platonically canoodling each other and I just love it. I also love this story Sally told: basically, DDL is Method, so whenever he was communicating with Sally during filming it was in character [INCLUDING WHEN HE WOULD TEXT HER.](https://entertainment.time.com/2012/10/25/daniel-day-lewis-in-lincoln-hail-to-the-chief/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) The idea of these two texting as Mary Todd and Abe Lincoln seriously just cracks me up.

## Sally Field

I think Sally's date here is her son; she looks lovely in that color, and her hair has never looked cuter.

See? They are all about each other. I hope they run off together, except DDL's wife would not really be cool with that, I suspect.

## 'Lincoln' Madrid Photocall

They are just so cute. I might be 'shipping them. MARY + ABE 4EVR.

## John Slattery

Although if she decides to lose DDL and take up with (also married, dang it) John Slattery, WHO WOULD BLAME HER?

[SAG Awards Adorably Played, Sally Field and Daniel Day-LewisI love how much these two clearly love each other. And I really love how hot and charming Daniel Day-Lewis is when he isn't in full Method-actor mode as a cranky murderous cobbler or whatever. I forgot how good looking he is. Also: this is the place where I agitate for a Room With a View photo reunion at one of these things. Helena Bonham Carter is invited for Les Mis, DDL is obviously going to pop in to pick up his Best Actor award. Maggie Smith will be invited (but not attend) for Downton Abbey or Best Exotic Marigold Hotel Housing Everyone Who's Ever Been In a British Movie. WE JUST NEED JULIAN SANDS. SOMEONE GET ME JULIAN SANDS. \[Photos: Getty\]![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/1602122121.xml)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/sag-awards-adorably-played-sally-field-and-daniel-day-lewis-01-2013/)
