I like to think Cuba has been following the travails of Jennifer Lawrence and Dior very closely, and was agitated the whole way over about what they'd put her in for this, and so what we're seeing here is his enormous relief in action.

And then he's overcome and can't resist clutching her to his bosom, celebrating the joy that is a good dress that's also easily wrangled.

And then he dared Jennifer Lawrence to: a) check her molars in his lapel sheen; b) eat a gummy bear off his shirt; c) take a breathalyzer; d) all of the above even though, yes, I do know she's just hunched over with laughter. IT COULD ALL STILL BE TRUE.

And then I guess he must have jetted inside so he could show everyone the money. He then also did some hammy stuff with his "I'm Cuba Gooding Jr. and I am an ACTORRRR" stuff from the show's open, which maybe helped burn off his red carpet energy...

... until he ran up on-stage at the end and hijacked Ben Affleck's stiff, cranky closing to shout that everyone should have a great MLK weekend (and he's right, you should). Affleck's face in this photo is a national treasure. It looks like he only just realized Cuba Gooding Jr. wasn't going to streak the stage or do a refried Kanye West joke, like, "Imma let you finish, Ben, but Tina and Amy are the best show-closers of the year."
