I mean... she just looks like she's wearing one of Liberace's cravats. One that got a rare case of Elephantitis of the Fabric.

And from THIS angle I keep thinking she tucked Barbie's Christmas tree skirt into her neck to eat a lobster. Maybe if it had been more fitted, and the sequin details had been used differently, I'd have liked it better. I DO like the neck piece. But the other thing that stuck in my craw is the color combination. The way those shades play together, the sequins look cheap to me.

And her speech was great. She SHOULD get to yammer for a bit if they let Matthew McConaughey go on and on and on like Celine Dion's heart.

And I think we'd be freaking out if Amy Adams or Jennifer Lawrence or Sandra Bullock or Julia Roberts showed up wearing this. So while context IS important -- the wearer can make or break an outfit, just as an outfit can make or break the wearer -- I just can't bring myself to think this is awesome or pretend I am in love with her sequined hanky.
