Remember the time she showed up at something looking like a crystal chandelier? Right down to her shoes? Good times. Good, distant times.
It's not often you get two people named Rita in one slideshow.
However you feel about Oprah as an entity, Oprah as a lady has been killing it with her clothes.
Fug Nation liked this one more than I did -- one of her wicker cuffs looks like it's about to come off, to me -- but I DO agree that she is pulling this off way better than I would've expected of anyone. And she's having a hell of a career right now "Mockingjay" and a key, if irregular, role on "Elementary," and "Game of Thrones"... that's a roll, and I'm even leaving stuff out, I think).
For getting it right post-partum.
She really nailed this, head to toe. Tyra Banks would be screaming, "H2T," all over the place, if she were here. Sometimes I really do wish she WERE here.
I unabashedly love how involved this is. I also might wish Helen Mirren had worn it. Somehow, I feel like someone with more personal gravitas is required (and that's not meant as an affront to Malin). Heck, Julia Roberts could have at least INVESTIGATED it.
It says a lot that the matching shoes don't even take this too far, for me. This feels like when you're at Disneyland and it's June and it's HOT and you finally buy your first Diet Coke and the dude pulls it out of the ice water in the cooler and you open it and LIFE SUDDENLY WORKS AGAIN.
I concur with Jess that I'm not sure I have any words on Katrina Bowden, but I have to tip my hat to how pretty the top of this dress is -- it might be the first time she's ever worn anything I found so noteworthy.
Despite my wishes that the bodice didn't have stitching, I give her huge points for originality with this, and also, we shouldn't have left her out of the Globes Best slideshow. Oops.
I know people thought this was too tight, but I thought she moved really well in it, and that it moved well, period.
Let's be honest, this probably isn't pizzazzy enough to WIN, but it's stellar nonetheless.
Fug Nation liked this a lot better than I did, so this one's for you. To me it looks like the seams are shooting out of her nipples.
I agree with the Fug National who thought an all-black top might've simplified this effectively, but: MIRREN.
Whoever her stylist is, obviously likes her.
Perfect.
Credit for the dress; not so much for the hair and lipstick.

I am putting this in because it's unusual and it stands out, and also, I just wanted to see this photo again.
Resplendent. I mean. It's simple and yet it knocks you flat.
This was also a knockout for me. The top looks like the waves. Y'all, I'm so deep. DEEP LIKE THE SEA.
