January Jones

This dress is a test. It says, "Somebody once told me that with my face, I could wear a potato sack and it wouldn't matter, so I went one better and wore the offspring of a potato sack and a French maid." Sadly for her great face, I don't think January passed this particular test.

Elisabeth Moss

Cocktail length! Remember when Reese Witherspoon split up with Ryan Phillippe and breezed through the Globes and SAGs in knee-length frocks? Those were fun days. I think Elisabeth looks great here, having mastered the fit AND her smoky-eye makeup kit.

Kiernan Shipka

Oh, to be a kid again, and also have Oscar de la Renta on speed-dial.

Jessica Pare

This is an Unfug for me -- that color is magnificent, and I love the big hair. But the black bits on the gown are throwing off the whole shebang. The waistband strikes me as a purposeless afterthought, and the harness-y straps make me wonder if this was cut for a woman a cup size or two larger and it needed to be dragged north.

Vincent Kartheiser, Alexis Bledel

Well, at least Pete Campbell's other half got what he wanted. I might really love Alexis's dress, if she were wearing her hair differently.

Jon Hamm

And Hamm looks... typically Hamm-esque. Westfeldt's dress flat-out doesn't fit. The bodice reminds me of a training bra.

John Slattery

While we're checking in with the dudes, I thought you'd like to see that the silver fox is still alive and well. Which is the most important thing.

Where have you been, January Jones? It's almost IRRESPONSIBLE of you to withhold your brand of crazy at this time of year. In related news, where art thou, Christina Hendricks? [Photos: Getty]
