I wish the diamond paillettes had gone all the way around. Did they run out? Is there a dangerous blue-diamond paillette shortage that's endangering the safety of the design industry? And why was the top allowed to make it look like her boobs start up at her neck?
First of all, she was sitting next to Brad Pitt the entire show. Second, she got to present with James Marsden. Third, she looks amazing in this. Everything's coming up Mindy!
This is good, in that, "I always basically look great and also, it's just the SAGs" kind of way. Heather and I were talking Saturday night about how it's pretty amazing that she can get away with doing a whole pre-planned, in-character bit when she wins and somehow it's charming and funny and not annoying or contrived. I just wish she'd do the Elaine dance.
She looks insanely good. Like... there are only blanks where my words should go, because whoa.
She had a baby three months ago. I had mine four and a half years ago and I couldn't wear a dress this well.
Why don't I like this better? There's nothing objectively WRONG with it, and it's the right size, and it hangs the way it should, and I like the chartreuse clutch with it. Is it the hair and lipstick? Is it that she looks like she's about tear it off and use it to reupholster her chaise longue?
Beautiful. And her shoulders are still as major as they were in Sydney Bristow's heyday. I wonder if she and Bradley Cooper ever sit around lamenting that they never did an Alias episode about his character getting a perm.
She's on a roll -- she did quiet good work in "August: Osage County," just about the only person IN that movie who is quiet, and she's been wonderful on "Masters of Sex." So maybe that means she's totally insane in regular life and that's why she stapled a bunch of expensive curtain ties to her chest.
I am PRETTY sure I think this is interesting and pretty on her, but it's also possible that I'm so scarred still by the yellow thing he made for Lena Dunham that I'm just terribly relieved this is better.
Better things have happened to Alfre Woodard. And hopefully better things will happen to her again.
