As a human person with eyes, I'd like to thank Ethan Hawke for deciding -- as he said on the red carpet -- to start wearing new clothes. (His point was that now that he as a PERSON has character, he doesn't need to find it in wacky outfits.) I'd also like to point out that Ethan Hawke, cleaned up, is AGING SO VERY WELL. I STILL LOVE YOU ETHAN.

I feel like he's in costume for a roles as the Maitre D' at the Trendy Restaurant at the Boutique Hotel You Accidentally Ended Up Booking Who Can Get You Cocaine And Makes Sure You Know It. (You definitely don't want it. This hotel is already too loud!) Maybe this is a part he could play if, say, Wes Anderson decides to remake *Miami Vice* DEAR GOD PLEASE LET THAT HAPPEN.
