This looks pretty, if unremarkable from the front. Lady Mary wears black well as we Americans recently learned from A TERRIBLE THING THAT HAPPENED on last night's Downton. PLEASE don't spoil us on the rest of the season, Commenters Who Have Seen This Entire Season. PBS hates us, so we're only halfway through and THINGS HAVE HAPPENED.

SIDEBOOB. I actually think this dress, which is vintage, was originally intended for a lady with a more petite cup size, and that if it had been made FOR Lady Mary, it would not have been quite as revealing of her undercarriage.
That is a lot of underboob. Her face, however, looks FANTASTIC.
The Downton-ers won for Best Drama Ensemble, and the people they sent to accept mostly looked pretty great. It's so nice to see Hooker Housemaid Ethel out and about. This is basically the only shot of her dress, and she looks lovely.
Mrs Hughes, you guys! She is a DISH! (Obviously, so is Branson. I hope they later hooked up at the hotel bar.)
I am not crazy about this on Daisy. The color is pretty, but I would put her in something a little more structured. It's a bit Satin Sheet, Belted.
Heather said to me this morning that this looks like a shark attack and I both totally agree with that statement AND I love it. We live every week like it's shark week around here, after all.

Daisy loves belting a dress this color. I just can't get over the fact that her hair isn't permanently in a bun.
