The top of this -- sleeves, neck -- is gorgeous, as is the color. I am not sure I believe what she told Giuliana (namely, that seeing herself on E was the first time she had gotten a look at herself properly), but it came off charming. Whether Winslet is putting on the whole Regular Lass thing or not, and I've heard evidence both ways, she's at least very GOOD at it.

The cynical among us might wonder if Kate, aware she would likely lose to Alicia Vikander now that she's in Supporting (rather than lead, as at the Globes), found a way to win anyway. That might be true. But I also think these two genuinely adore each other and that she was stoked for him, and maybe part of her is like, "That Oscar is IN THE BAG, and THANK GOD, NOT A MOMENT TOO SOON, I AM SO TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT IT."
