Scarlett Johansson missed the premiere of *The Phoenecian Scheme* because she was hosting the season finale of *SNL*, but zipped over to Cannes to support her directorial debut, *Eleanor the Great*. On that front, [*Variety* seems to think June Squibb is amazing](https://variety.com/2025/film/reviews/eleanor-the-great-review-june-squibb-scarlett-johansson-1236402413/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \-- I have no trouble believing that -- but that the movie itself is not. But honestly, whatever keeps June Squibb in a leading role is fine by me. The woman is 95 and killing the game.
