You will laugh to note that the caption read, "Catherine O'Hara accepts the Emmy for xxx" because what she accepted for is IN THE PHOTO. (It's okay, captioner friend, EVERYTHING is weird right now.) It kills me not to have proper pictures of everything. This SEEMS like a spangly turtleneck under a black gown. I'm sure it's sewn together as one unit, but... well, it's Moira Rose; what she wears really OUGHT to be hard to parse.

And I love Annie Murphy so much, but I dearly wish she hadn't worn this. The other reason I wonder if none of them expected to win was because they wore stuff that does NOT look its best when cropped at the waist. (Dan Levy is SO happy here; it's lovely.)

And I dare you not to get misty looking at the sheer pride on Dan Levy's face here, as he watches his dad get a trophy.

And then THESE HUGS. They all got real tight bear hugs. It had the vibe of "We all got tested and it's the first time we've hugged people outside our houses in six months!" Jessica reports that this is very similar to the Thom Browne outfit that Dan/David wore in the series finale, which is also a delightfully touching homage.

I kept seeing the Emmy dude out of the corner of my eye and thinking he was dressed as the Grim Reaper. I suppose in a way, by 2020 standards, he is.

Oh, and this angle shows off Dan's kicky socks AND the rest of Catherine's gown, which culminated in what I always think of as shit-kicking boots. She will take no guff and brook no fools in those.

And Karen Robinson back there was basically weeping with joy the whole time AND wearing a kick-ass sparkly silver mask. Talk about a big win.
