## Solange

Well, full marks on her purse, obviously. And I like this color on her, with the funky patterned shirt underneath it. But those shorts are so unflattering -- they look like she is wearing them backwards, and the fabric that's supposed to be comfortably filled-out by buttocks is deflated and sad and assless like chaps -- and have mercy, I just noticed the runs in her tights. SOLANGE. EGADS.

I wish she were wearing that coat over a dress made entirely of that shirt's fabric.. The awfulness of the shorts cannot be overstated. It's not even that they're formal shots. It's that they're... abnormal shorts.

I thought the shoes might make you happy, though. The flashes of sparkly red inside those black and white bows don't really go with the outfit, but they DO recall some sort of high-fashion interpretation of a nature documentary in which something predatory is snacking on a zebra.

[Scrolldown(ish) Fug: SolangeI just checked out Solange's new single, and... well, I'm a bigger fan of her head than I am of her music, I think. I don't know. It all felt auto-tuned and spit-shined to where it could have been anyone singing. Except for the cool backing track, if I closed my eyes and you told me it was J.Lo, I might not have challenged you. Fortunately, her style is still wholly original. If not always successful. \[Photos: Getty\]![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2012/10/153327047.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/scrolldownish-fug-solange-10-2012/)
