If you had simply described this to me, I wouldn't have imagined it working. But other than the swath of brown -- she JUST dyed it, so I guess she left the roots on purpose, unless she just changed her part? -- I think Selena Gomez carries blond hair pretty well. Or at least chose the right lipstick for it.

## in Coach

If this had been even a TINY bit longer, it would've stood a chance with me, because I'm digging its attempt at a Superspy vibe. Instead, it looks shrunken, like the Superspy inflated it from inside a ball-point pen and accidentally got the wrong size. And it's NOT a good argument for Coach's clothing bona-fides, of which... honestly, there may not be any yet. Points for their enthusiastic refusal to stop trying, I guess?

This song was about how she ran through the jungle to try and find someone, except she was writhing on a car that looked like she'd driven it into a lake while wearing a nightgown. I... am not sure.

This was her first performance all year, and she seemed to be VERY obviously lip-synching. The cameras were careful never to get a shot where the mic wasn't mostly obscuring her mouth, and at times she wasn't entirely OPENING her mouth very much? Which, if she did a lot of dancing, fine. But she mostly just wandered around and got shoved by some girls and then acted dead for a bit.

And then finished with an expression that said, "I know. That was jacked. It's been a shitty year for everyone."
