I am not kidding when I tell you that my parents used to have a sofa that was literally covered in this fabric -- from the 70s, of course -- and it was VERY cozy and extremely comfortable, and now it's been recovered and I miss its groovy vibe. So perhaps it is thanks to that association that I am looking upon this dress with such fondness. But even without memories of naps, I'm pretty sure that this is good on her -- autumnal, chic, the sort of dress you find yourself continually petting even though you are already wearing it. Prim but not uptight. It's good. I feel soothed.
