I love the dark makeup with her platinum hair. The gown is gorgeous, too, and she's sporting a new cane here. I've long been advocating for her to start a whimsical walking-stick collection, and there's something poignant about an essentially see-through one at the premiere of a documentary ABOUT her MS. It's transparent, as has she been, and it also isn't pulling focus. The stick is not the star; Selma is. Love it.

Christian was photographed with her at this party, so it made me wonder if he designed the frock (he's worked with her a lot). I love it. I do overall miss her dark hair, but there may be specific reasons she sticks with blond beyond just what she's in the mood for; I don't know. (Someone in the comments said it's to hide alopecia patches, and I was wondering if it is treatment-related? She's definitely making it work for herself.)

Rachel is the director (this is her first feature film) and I did not want you to miss her badass dress here. She wrote an essay about her alopecia in 2019 that is well worth a read.

Rodarte is such a puzzle to me. It is hard for me to immediately identify anything as being by them. This has a grown-up Annie feel to me. She gave up the white belt and the buckle shoes, but she kept the shape of the collar and cuffs.

Back at the most recent premiere: Her head looks fantastic. I would like to learn that eye makeup. It's accentuating everything in such a paradoxically strong but gentle way. However, her dress looks like she's a living Madame Alexander doll or something. It's a lot, and I'm undecided as to whether it's too much.

Taylor Schilling! Where has SHE been?!? (I looked it up: She just shot the Pam Anderson/Tommy Lee miniseries for Hulu and she was in a miniseries called THE BITE by the Kings, as in The Good Wife and Evil. I totally missed it, but it's about Covid, so that's for the best?) Anyway, this looks fine -- it's not a very gripping outfit, but with these oversize suits, I can see why people are styling them with tube tops and cropped shirts and the like. It does make everything feel less bulky than a blouse would.

I don't know why he was there, but it means we can dish about how he's allegedly now dating Renee Zellweger? (I hadn't heard of him until he married and then soon divorced HGTV's Christina Haack, and to be honest I only really know who SHE is because of a) my old Us Weekly sub and b) Selling Sunset, which stars her ex Tarek's future wife.) I feel like... we do not all have to match, obviously, but this is a four-piece outfit and every piece is different and the overall color story is, "Bleh."
