This is tremendously Extra. And given that Taylor has been very much into Thoughtful Dressing lately -- to wit, her summer excursions that made multiple snake references that could only be targeted at Kim and Kanye -- then I find it potentially pointed that she's wearing something by Balmain, a designer once favored by Kimmy and her brethren. Please note, I am not saying she hasn’t worn Balmain before. I am just aware that nothing Tay does is by accident, and riffing on why she might have picked it now. Other than liking it, obviously, although that is enough.

This, however, is a whole bag of nuts. Is that a rendering of.... I was going to say Vegas, but I don't know what landmark that is, if so. It's DEFINITELY some kind of skyline. The pockets really jack with that. She still has somehow taken command of this thing, but it's a jumble.

We are at the point where I need to accept that she is no longer 12. Twelve would have been a weird age for her to be wearing a cocktail dress hot off the Pamella Roland runway, but 14 seems... okay, still crazy to my sad crone brain, but somehow slightly less jarring. But it's a WHOLE LOT of dress.
