Sex Lives of College Girls

Pauline Chalamet

I assume this is Dior, because the shoes are (and I even have a close-up in a second). I mostly like it? The waist MIGHT be sitting a tad high on her but the shimmery fabric is neat and she looks polished and comfortable at the same time.

As you can see, the shoes did give themselves away. I don't typically like the Dior ribbon/bow shoes with their logo on them but I think this execution of them is quite good.

Hear me out: While this is conceptually fine, I think it turns Mindy into a prim rectangle. "Prim" in and of itself is not bad, by the way. But on Mindy the giant collar and buttons swallow up her neck a bit too much... and do you think it could have stood a belt, maybe in gold like the shoes? I just think it's a near miss, especially after how fantastic she looked at the Diwali party. It's all good, Mindy. Everyone misses now and then.

Amrit Kaur

This did not need the tablecloth.

Lolo Spencer

Lolo was diagnosed with ALS at 14. She's now 32, with a successful YouTube channel. She sounds awesome, she looks super. and her shoes are deadly in all the best ways.

Alyah Chanelle Scott

Another weird surrealist jacket where it all quite literally goes sideways. It all at least fits better than Hailee Steinfeld's suit did?

Kavi Ladnier

And HERE it's a cockamamie askew blouse. But the purse is the star.

Renika Williams

Okay, so these big... part corset, part cummerbunds... are really having a moment and I think they're suffocating.

Renee Rapp

See? This one is more of a harness, but why are we doing this to ourselves? Free the ribs.

Terrence Terrell

HOWEVER this suit is giving me life.

Jermelle Simon

I'm almost surprised there isn't a bra under this. It's all the rage! He looks nifty and also as if he's ready to stomp on the moon.

Sydney Morgan

These are a lot of very LOOK AT ME pieces, but what works best is her lipstick.

Daisy O'Dell

She is your college roommate who did a semester in France and came back with an accent.

Is this... a wannabe hoop skirt?

Amanda Ripley

My little '90s vest-wearing self is annoyed I gave those away 20 years ago. Even if this exact execution isn't quite my dream outfit. Side note: Amanda could play Kate McKinnon in a movie about SNL.

Emma Brooks McAllister

Navels, navels, everywhere.

Dylan Mulvaney

SOMEONE learned to knit during lockdown!

I'm not sure who all is in the show and who is a plus-one, or recurring, or what, but it's a happy and excited array of people and I hope the show does hugely well for them. I AM NOT DEAD INSIDE.
