Many of us would have envied the hell out of those pants in 1987\. And the feathered bangs. ## "Century City Market Place" Grand Opening - Los Angeles - November 18, 1987 ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/07/GettyImages-82103784-1720992733.jpg) Shannen Doherty (Photo by Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) This is at the opening of the Century City mall food court and AMC theater, the former of which still exists but the latter of which has been totally replaced and rebuilt elsewhere in the mall. She looks so happy, but it was a bad food court. ## 1988 ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/07/GettyImages-132710785-1720992773.jpg) Winona Ryder, Kim Walker, Lisanne Falk, and Shannen Doherty are members of an exclusive social clique in a scene from the film 'Heathers', 1988\. (Photo by Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) I was kidding before -- THESE might be the most important bangs of my. young adulthood. This is not a photo from set, but it's SO BRENDA. Right down to the choker. ## 1992 ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/07/GettyImages-111187536-1720992765.jpg) Shannen Doherty during 1992 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, California, United States. (Photo by Diana Gibson/Sygma via Getty Images) I always forget she played the author in *A Burning Passion: The Margaret Mitchell Story*. This feels like SUCH an attempt to be like, "DO NOT PIGEONHOLE ME AS BRENDA." ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/07/GettyImages-2160784734-1720992911.jpg) LOS ANGELES - FEBRUARY 1990: Actors Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Gabrielle Carteris, and Shannen Doherty of Beverly Hills 90210 pose for a portrait in Los Angeles, California. It's a photo from a reading of a play, In The Wings, about actors who star in play that will move to Broadway but only one of them is invited to move with it. And this play would later move to Off-Broadway, but none of these actors would move with it. ## 2009 ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/07/GettyImages-139342005-1720992782.jpg) March 8, 2009 West Hollywood, Ca.; Shannen Doherty ; John Varvatos 7th Annual Stuart House Benefit; Held at the John Varvatos Boutique (Photo by Gregg DeGuire/FilmMagic) Note to self: DO NOT GET AVIATORS BECAUSE OF HER. This is hilarious to me. ## 2016 ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/07/GettyImages-601175444-1720992830.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CA - SEPTEMBER 09: Actress Shannen Doherty attends Stand Up To Cancer 2016 at Walt Disney Concert Hall on September 9, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Steve Granitz/WireImage) Shannen did a lot with Stand Up To Cancer. She fought it for SO long. Ten years, right? Twice in her breast, once brain, and finally, bone cancer. The stories about how she lost her health insurance at a time when she might've caught it earlier are... harrowing. ## SMG and Shannen, 2016 ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/07/GettyImages-621442194-1720992838.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CA - NOVEMBER 05: (EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE) Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar (L) and acrtress Shannen Doherty arrive at American Cancer Society's Giants of Science Los Angeles Gala on November 5, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Vivien Killilea/WireImage) Sarah Michelle Gellar remained VERY close to Shannen and I admit I thought of her very quickly once I heard the news. I'm sure she's gutted. ## 2019 ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/07/GettyImages-1160268815-1720992857.jpg) BEVERLY HILLS, CA - AUGUST 07: Brian Austin Green, Shannen Doherty and Ian Ziering of BH 90210 speak during the Fox segment of the 2019 Summer TCA Press Tour at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on August 7, 2019 in Beverly Hills, California.
