BROWN/AFP via Getty Images) Obviously, this "sheer" is hardly sheer, but that's the point of being one end of the spectrum. What I'm questioning is WHY this has any sheer at all. I posit that it doesn't NEED the sheer panel that sort of limps it to the ground, and could've ended in the points with the pearls. Or even at her knees. Regardless, I think it brings the whole enterprise down. Even if it were still sheer, but BLACK, would it be better? I DO think that's sheer but it's carefully done and it looks good on her. Or is it a combination? It made me laugh nonetheless when I finally saw the whole look, which is probably not, in the end, the ideal reaction. For the Emmys, this is a little too extra, and what kills me is that I don't even think it's very NICE.
