Halsey
'Sing 2' film premiere, Arrivals, The Greek Theater, Los Angeles, California, USA - 12 Dec 2021
The last time we saw Halsey was performing at the CMTs in the fall of 2020, but before that it was late 2019. They have, since that 2020 appearance, had a baby and released an album with a companion film; it has been a productive pandemic for them, apparently. I wish it had been as productive for whoever designed this dress, who appears to have spent ten minutes on it. This is what Tim Gunn would call "student work" with a kind but sad expression.

But that's great. It's PERFECT for a bright and circus-y kids movie and I think it's my favorite thing she's worn in a really long time, right down to the shoes.

She even wore a big red coat with it, but I can see why she may have decided to take it off, given that the step-and-repeat also had a heavy red thing on it.

This is ALSO cute -- a very similar feel -- and looks like it was made out of an upscale wipe-clean picnic blanket.

Tell me you're a bit tired of being told you look like your mother without telling me you're a bit tired of being told you look like your mother.(And yes, I agree with people who think that while she favored Reese as a kid, she now looks a LOT more like Ryan.)

This feels a little formal. And like a sloppy Barbie prototype.

Pink and yellow were the big colors of the year, and here Eric is in BOTH. He's playing all sides. I approve.

I would have tucked in the shirt. (I thought he was wearing a cardigan over his pullover for a minute, but upon closer examination it seems to be a suede shirt-style jacket.)

And HE looks a bit like he just invented a serum that does something fairly dastardly.

They apparently designed some of the outfits in the movie. They look nice, and also as if someone could make a horror movie in which they, as spectral sisters, appear to people out of nowhere and taunt them into wearing a lot of tulle.
