# SJP Went All Studio 54 at the People's Choice Awards

I can't say I love the gloves -- they're just a little too costume-y for my taste -- but otherwise, this is pleasantly fun and totally non-serious in a way that feels right for the People's Choice Awards*,* which I think may have given SJP this award simply because her Carrie Bradshaw halo is wide and bright. Although it's possible the overlap in the Venn Diagram between People Who Watch *Divorce* and People Who Vote in the People's Choice Awards may be larger than I think it is, it feels more to me like the people doing the choosing scanned their way down their ballot and thought, "eh, I don't watch that show, but I like SJP! I'll vote for her!" And why not go and wear something shiny to pick up something shiny, after all?
