The thing about SJP is, as much as this looks like she just hiked up her pants to show off the whole of the shoe -- and forgot that it would expose her long johns? -- I also find it completely believable that she would wear this just on a regular day. I also find it endearing that she IS wearing unsecret long johns.

I love the idea that she went in and bought her own shoes, just to be supportive. As a person who has bought her own books, I can relate to this urge. I am ALSO in favor of those sparkle boots. I could absolutely not pull them off in this way, and I don't really own good clothes, or anything that would go with them, but... the heart wants what it wants.

There were some shots of her with a phone on a stand of some kind so she may also have been doing her own promotion. Like, is that backpack SUPPOSED to be there or is it propping up another camera? She looks like she's talking to it. Maybe it's Kimmy Schmidt's backpack friend.

Reader, I laughed. Affectionately. Maybe she's shooting a homemade commercial? Does one do this if one thinks no one is watching, or because one suspects people are watching and one understands that you might as well get some amusing free advertising out of it? Whatever it is, it's working.
