Snakes on a Plane Premiere

Brie Larson

Look at this baby starlet! Brie had, at this point, released her album Finally Out of PE and was transitioning into acting (Hoot came out that same year). She looks like she just won a Samaire Armstrong Lookalike Contest or something. The jacket looks like something she either found at an estate sale, or that her grandmother finally gave her after years of badgering. Using that and pumps to dress up the cutoffs and t-shirt is just a true time capsule.

We did not do well with proportions in the aughts.

But she loves that necklace.

Victoria Rowell

Victoria is like, "Okay, you're 2006 in a nutshell, but I'm bringing my ultra-low-rise jeans to the party."

Samantha Harris

"Okay, but I am over here wearing one of those sweaters with half a collared shirt sewn into it and a pointless belt! AM I NOT THE QUEEN OF THE 2006???"

Holly Robinson Peete

Holly's entry is a going-out top with low-rise jeans that have the diagonal seam. A strong salvo from the lovely lady in yellow.

Julianna Margulies

Then Julianna rolls up in a satin going-out-top and cotton bermuda shorts and we're all like, "Oooh, this is a tight race." [I would say, "I forgot she is in this movie," but I never actually saw this movie. One thing I don't need to imagine is snakes on any kind of hurtling capsule.]

Kelly Osbourne

"What could be more 2006 than The Artful Dodger Goes to Paris?"

Amber Tamblyn

This is SO CLOSE to being just right, but the way her boobs are directly yoked to her neck is unsettling. That is a snake I would like off my plane.

Elsa Pataky

I am so used to seeing her blonde that this took a minute. As for the dress: What a drab, dishwater-y exercise in dullness. Snakes on a Plain, if you will.
