Full disclosure: This film was also produced by my friend and former boss RJ Cutler's production company (they also did the recent Martha Stewart doc, and *The September Issue*, among other things). I saw one of the producers, who I know from way back in the day, posting from inside a water taxi over the weekend and I was like, "how nice for Trevor to be in Venice, wait *OH RIGHT*." Extra nice, perhaps! Certainly very exciting; I hope everyone I know has had fun! (Everyone I don't know can, obviously, fall in the canal!!!!!!!) Anyway -- it feels right for Sofia to tackle the story of Marc Jacobs, a designer she's long worn, and a real contemporary. I'm sure this doc will hit a specific Gen-X demographic right where we live. (It got [a good review in *Variety*, which makes it sound really enjoyably logistics-y.)](https://variety.com/2025/film/reviews/marc-by-sofia-review-sofia-coppola-marc-jacobs-1236504463/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) Let's look at what she wore.
