Well, look. Many people have been wrongly seduced by McQueen's darker side, so she's not alone on Sad Island. But this dress is just so fugtastically overpowering. It's screaming for attention. It wants us to stare at the shoulder piece, the arms, the slves, the workmanship, the overlay, the mini-ruff -- everywhere but at the wearer.

This is ALSO a savvy stance, because again she's using that elbow to prop up one of the major parts of the gown. This is pinching her bare shoulder terribly, though. It's like a compression sleeve.

This isn't so much "pick a sleeve" as it is "pick two things." If the sleeve were the same material as the rest of the bodice, I think this would work better, but we have the arm cape and then the solid top and then the lacy sleeve... it only needs two of those things.
