"You may be wondering, lovers, why I am wearing a hat that looks like a very large chip-and-dip tray. Well, it is because I TOO AM A SNACK."

She had this sort of rocker-crabby expression for a lot of the red carpet, and I decided it was all part of her I'm Not Giving 450 Percent Right Now vibe. I genuinely think she watched Cardi B stutter-step through the red carpet last night and thought, "OH MY GOD, I AM SO GLAD THAT'S NOT ME THIS TIME." Also this dress looks like a sewing machine accident.

I know hardly anything about her, so last night taught me that she's British, and that she seems really charming. I don't know if I LIKED her song with St. Vincent, but they sounded good at least, and I wasn't bored. They were theatrical. This is lovely, too, so in sum: She can stay. I bet she'll have a Fug Madness run, though.

Lele Pons

She seems so SHEEPISH. The workmanship on that train is stunning. OWN IT.

Chaka Khan

For lessons on OWNING IT, please see Chaka here. My only note is that I wish the fan were MORE EXTRA.

Lee Ann Womack

Is this Gucci, or does it just want me to think it is? Honestly it looks a BIT like a knockoff of something Gucci might have given Dakota Johnson. (Also, Lee Ann's Twitter page header is a B&W photo of her smoking a cigarette, which was surprising. It's not at ALL the "I Hope You Daaaaaaaance" image of her that I had in my head.)

Camila Cabello in Armani

I really like this on her -- she looks sophisticated, which is not something I've said about her before, I don't think.

It does have a back side surprise, not to be confused with a backside surprise, which is something entirely worse.

Toni Braxton

TONI I AM NOT GOING TO MAKE AN UNBREAK MY HEART JOKE EXCEPT WHOOPS I JUST DID. You really need to put your crotch away, friend.

Dolly Parton

THE LEGEND. Jessica tweeted something about how she's helped put 100 million books in the hands of kids, and as of this typing it's gotten 4k retweets and 16k likes, and only two people responded negatively. That says a lot about the power of Dolly Parton.
