(Photo by Emma McIntyre/Getty Images) This is not revolutionizing anything. She's doing what she always does, very well: A perfect shiny cocoon of hair, good neutral makeup, body-con dress. The gown feels like it's been made a jillion times by every designer, with no particular Gucci flair to it, but it all works fine. I don't think she cares that much, and frankly Gucci probably doesn't right now either, with Demna likely guarding whatever his new aesthetic there will be. ## Melanie Griffith ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/08/GettyImages-2231034916-1755661891.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - AUGUST 19: Melanie Griffith attends the Los Angeles Premiere of "Splitsville" at AMC The Grove 14 on August 19, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Matt Winkelmeyer/GA/The Hollywood Reporter via Getty Images) Melanie came to hang out with her daughter (Dakota also produced the movie). She hasn't acted much in a while, which got me to thinking... *White Lotus* season four?!? ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/08/GettyImages-2231034091-1755661877.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - AUGUST 19: (L-R) Dakota Johnson and Melanie Griffith attend the Los Angeles Premiere of "Splitsville" at AMC The Grove 14 on August 19, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. Some look exactly like one parent, and then they stand next to the other one and you realize THEY look exactly alike TOO somehow. And then some people don't really favor either parent, and that's where Dakota is for me. ## Ava Phillippe ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/08/GettyImages-2231028846-1755661837.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - AUGUST 19: Ava Phillippe attends the Los Angeles Premiere of "Splitsville" at AMC The Grove 14 on August 19, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Matt Winkelmeyer/GA/The Hollywood Reporter via Getty Images) Ava is the one who looks exactly like whichever parent she's standing next to. On her own, she favors Ryan more, I think. She looks cute here. She's not in the movie; her next project is called *Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me* and I always misread it as Laura DERN. ## Adria Arjona ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/08/GettyImages-2230329796-1755663373.jpg) Adria Arjona at the "Splitsville" Los Angeles Premiere held at AMC The Grove 14 on August 19, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Gilbert Flores/Variety via Getty Images) This may change between now and when you read this, but as of this writing, we ONLY had photos of her at this event from the back or the side. Okay then! She looks like she's in costume as a backstage changing room. ## David Oyelowo ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/08/GettyImages-2231029983-1755661850.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - AUGUST 19: David Oyelowo attends the Los Angeles Premiere of "Splitsville" at AMC The Grove 14 on August 19, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Matt Winkelmeyer/GA/The Hollywood Reporter via Getty Images) Not loving the black and navy. He's so much more interesting than this, also. ## Nicholas Braun ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/08/GettyImages-2231033513-1755661861.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - AUGUST 19: Nicholas Braun attends the Los Angeles Premiere of "Splitsville" at AMC The Grove 14 on August 19, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Matt Winkelmeyer/GA/The Hollywood Reporter via Getty Images) He plays a character called "Matt the Mentalist," which honestly makes me wish Greg from Succession had a twin. ## Catherine Hardwicke ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/08/GettyImages-2231035537-1755661907.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - AUGUST 19: Catherine Hardwicke attends the Los Angeles Premiere of "Splitsville" at AMC The Grove 14 on August 19, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Matt Winkelmeyer/GA/The Hollywood Reporter via Getty Images) Her blouse is all women in frocks, and it's SO cute. Sadly, it's an oldie from Alive + Olivia and I haven't been able to find it. Well, "sadly." It would be astronomically priced even if I did. [Dakota Johnson Woos Us With a Metallic at "Splitsville"I'm an easy mark.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2025/08/gettyimages-2231040021-1755662161.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/dakota-johnson-woos-us-with-a-metallic-at-splitsville-08-2025/)
