Taylor Lautner

The werewolf that first set teen hearts afire. Well, not first, but... first RECENTLY.

Michael J. Fox

OBVIOUSLY, Michael J. Fox is the one who first set teen hearts afire in Teen Wolf, the original flavor, what with all his hot basketball jams.

Teen Wolf

And how he used to ride on top of cars playing air guitar.

Jason Bateman

And then Jason Bateman took up the mantle in Teen Wolf Too, as a -- wait for it -- WRESTLING star.

Teen Wolf Too

He seemed a lot more man-scaped than MJF's wolf.

Jack

And let us not forget the man who wooed Michelle Pfeiffer in Wolf. Well, I assume he wooed her. I have not seen it.

Wolf

But who could POSSIBLY resist THIS handsome mug?

Paul "Wasilewski" Wesley

This is not a mistake: Before he was a CW bloodsucker, back when he was a Wasilewski and not a Wesley, he was a UPN werewolf on Wolf Lake -- a show that ALSO featured Elena Gilbert's self-immolating mother Isobel (Mia Kirshner), along with a bunch of other people who were kind of good on it (Bruce McGill, Sharon Lawrence, Mary Elizabeth Winstead of Scott Pilgrim, Kiersten Warren in one episode... need I continue?). Oh, UPN. You were ahead of your time.

Michaela McManus

Not often you see a lady werewolf, eh? She played one on Vampire Diaries, but I will always remember her as Man Face Lindsay from One Tree Hill. The reason I don't feel bad saying that is because a character ON the show called her that, right to her man-face. (I don't know that I AGREE she has a man-face, but she was awful on that show -- not necessarily her fault, since they made her moon over Chad Michael Murray during a particularly dumb phase of his -- so I ran with it.)

Michael Trevino

Michael here plays Tyler Lockwood on Vampire Diaries, also a werewolf. I wish I had a photo of him without the hat, but he was mugging in all of them. Alas. Some people just do NOT respect werewolf pride, you know?

Taylor Kinney

Oh, Mason Lockwood, we lost you and your pretty, pretty eyes too soon.

David Naughton

Hey, remember this guy? He was in An American Werewolf in London, and he is very pleased to meet you, I'm sure.

Tom Everett Scott

Tom played the wolf in An American Werewolf in Paris, but really, all it ever made me think was, "I wonder whatever happened to The Oneders?"

Michael Sheen

The ex-Mr. Kate Beckinsale was a wolf in Underworld, where his wife hooked up with the director. To be fair, he said their marriage was already done and just waiting for one of them to fall in love with someone else because otherwise neither of them wanted to leave their daughter. Still, that is nice and soapy. He also LOOKS very lupine in his current state.

Joe Manganiello

You know him as Alcide on True Blood. I know him as the bartender on One Tree Hill who deflowered Mouth's girlfriend Millicent before she became the world's fastest coke addict and then even faster recovered coke addict and then got back with Mouth. You'll notice how nothing in that sentence is as BORING as the words, "got back with Mouth," indicating how little I want to see them on the show next season. I mean, SHE is fine, but with Mouth she is paint drying. Anyway, Joe here: hot. And apparently a secret silver fox.

Tyler Posey, Tyler Hoechlin

And these two are the starring wolves from MTV's new series -- Tyler Hoechlin on the left over there, and Tyler Posey. Hoechlin has had quite the career... first Road To Perdition with Tom Hanks, then 7th Heaven, where he had to fall in love with Haylie Duff AND that kid who played the youngest daughter (ACTING!), and now Teen Wolf. None of these things is like the other one. But my friend who works on the show says he is smoking hot on it, so that's awesome. Bless you and your hot abs, sir. Thank you for (reportedly) sharing them.

Sponsored Post: Teen Wolf iTunes Giveaway
MTV's new Teen Wolf series is premiering on Sunday after the Movie Awards, and even though no wolves play basketball, I will be watching because: a) one of my friends works on the show, and b) I'm completely curious how the network rebooted a fluffy iconic movie into something sort of twisty and hormonally angsty, although I guess Joss Whedon basically pulled that trick with Buffy, so we know it can be done. In honor of that, we have for you a slideshow of Hot (Mostly) Werewolves In Film And TV -- just a tasty little sampling -- and a contest worth a $100 iTunes gift card. Not bad, eh? Here are the rules: In the comments, make your own cheesy/cheesy-awesome werewolf movie title and/or tagline. Our favorite gets the prize. And as a bonus, here's a trailer for the show in which you get to see a pretty girl tell you to go fug yourself (sort of). THAT doesn't happen every day, right? To the comments! We'll post the winner on Monday, so get all your entries in by 9 p.m. Pacific Time on Sunday.
