YES that is a leather bandeau top. Truly, Hailey Bieber could pull this outfit off tomorrow if she decided to try.

Very sweet of Olivia Newton-John (with her boyfriend, actor Matt Lattanzi) to come out to support her friend (to this day) John Travolta. Her outfit was red and it is INSANE. She looks like an aerobics instructor who fell into and crawled out of a hedge. They met on Xanadu and got married! Then they got divorced. (ONJ's "personal life" Wikipedia section is quite a read.)

Or, as Wiki calls him "David Copperfield (illusionist)." I am concerned her ensemble is suede.
Kristy McNichol and Ina Liberace

There's a LOT of mousse in this photo. Ina is THEE Liberace's niece and People reported they were "best friends" and "pals" who met at a nightclub, became inseparable, lived together in Kristy's house, and Ina was Kristy's date for the Oscars, so I assume they were likely dating.

We all truly made some Hair Choices in 1983. (Well, I was a child, so my hair choices were pigtails, but still.)
Cynthia Rhodes "and guest"

Cynthia's dress ALSO could easily be worn today and no one would bat an eye. She had already met future husband Richard Marx at this moment in time (this is not him) as he worked on the music for this movie. She thought he was too young for her, but changed her mind two years later, and they were married for 25 years. Now, of course, Marx is married to Daisy Fuentes.

Was the dress code WHITE BLAZERS? (I guess a white jumpsuit is an iconic look from Saturday Night Fever.) They are still married!
Finola Hughes

This hair! It is resplendent. I love the idea that she arrived with a photo of John, as if she wasn't going to see him there.

Speaking of iconic hair!

She looks dishy here!
Sylvester Stallone

Sly seems to be reflecting on his date's affection for fringe.
