First, [we had Ziad Nakad at this chateau that's such a good dupe for Versailles](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/ziad-nakads-couture-photos-are-tremendous-and-luxe-02-2021/), in spirit, that it actually DID play Versailles in -- wait for it -- *Versailles*. Stephane Rolland went with a much more Spartan vibe at Theatre de la Villette in Paris, but the photos still manage to ooze an isolated sort of drama. [You can read here in *WWD* all about his sculptural inspirations](https://wwd.com/runway/spring-couture-2021/paris/stephane-rolland/review/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io); he concludes by saying that it's "during the nightmare periods" that you have to push forth with the most creativity, and I feel like I need to remind myself of that more often.
