This is not an outfit; it's a high-waisted skirt -- possibly a relic from nineteen-eighty-STOPITSTOPITSTOPIT -- that's waiting for a real blouse. For all I know she's wearing the entire thing backwards. And for one heart-stopping moment, I thought it was OVERLONG CULOTTES. (It does in fact appear to be a skirt, just with a slit in the front.) The whole thing is a jaundiced disaster.

Nina here usually looks spectacular. And if you ripped off the overlay -- or at least hemmed it up and removed the choker collar -- we might be onto something. The tulle layer over her thighs looks like, as Tim Gunn would say, student work. Except there are some students out there who might find that slander.

This... may infuriate me the least of all of them, just because it's at least INTERESTING in its weirdness? But why is... what is... is the skirt... I can't... what is happening? Make me understand, Uma. Be a vixen, not a... vexen.

And Elle's is doing it TOO. I want to rip the fabric off and see what the little dress with the white skirt looks like on her. The transparent apron is just... I don't... it isn't... I can't.

Okay, this isn't transparency so much as peekaboo, but the verdict is the same: At this rate I'm going to need to make myself a t-shirt that says, "I JUST CAN'T."

AND THEN. We come to this. I have... so many thoughts that they're running together, to where my mind has essentially torn off its space bar and smushed all the words together. My first thought is, you are not Velma Kelly. My SECOND thought is, somebody please explain to me this trend of aggressively pink-nude lipstick. It looks like someone snuck into her trailer while she was napping, slapped the business end of a vacuum cleaner on her mouth, and then flipped the switch.

My third thought: She's basically wearing a giant caftan made of FISHNET. It's a fishtan. She has a fishtan AND illusory fish lips. That is not a theme, it's a tragedy.

And my fourth thought is that the lingerie would be very flattering on her, if she were IN HER HOUSE. I give credit to this for at least having a vision of itself -- it's not lazy; it's just weird. But I keep expecting her to go shoot someone and then blame all the jazz and the liquor.
