Jena has always had a touch of the Noted Kook about her, but this is more of a double shot. There is a lot to like here -- the purple, the embroidery, the bodice -- but I'm not sure they all needed to happen at the same time. It's hard for anyone's head to pull focus. Would this be easier to take if she lopped off the sleeves?

Kumail LOVES a plaid, that's for sure. I am also totally enchanted by the art deco look of Emily's dress. Yes, this is from [the Black Panther premiere](../the-black-panther-premiere-was-full-of-badass-women-01-2018): Photos kept rolling in and rolling in and rolling in, and I thought I'd gotten them all, BUT NO. So here's my attempt at fixing that.

I don't mind this, but I'd have gone with a soft updo rather than a gigantic hair piece in the back.

It's love when you coordinate your reds. I also didn't realize Ryan directed *Black Panther*. Three movies with Michael B. Jordan (the others are *Creed* and *Fruitvale* *Station*), three well-received achievements. They might be each other's work lobsters.

Allegra is in Marvel's Runaways on Netflix, which is a show that I enjoyed, though way more at the beginning of its season than by the end. (They spent weirdly little on making the special effects look good, for one thing.) Still, it's an enjoyable binge. She must be pinching herself.
