James ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2024/04/gettyimages-2149171275-1713924506.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Nikki M. James attends the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) White is a highly symbolic color in the history of suffrage. I do not love turning the trench-dress into a tutu? But maybe there's a story there. ## Shaina Taub ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149173125-1713924520.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Shaina Taub attends the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) Shaina wrote Suffs and stars as Alice Paul. I like the suit, and I LOVE the gold boots. ## Laura Benanti ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149175918-1713924584.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Laura Benanti attends the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) I don't mind the dress here, but I really can't help feeling like the shoes -- though an intriguing choice -- were a random swing. They seem too casual. ## Melissa McCarthy ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149179359-1713924681.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Melissa McCarthy attends the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) I mean, it's... fine? It's standard business at this point. The star should be the gloves, which are embroidered with messages, but she didn't really make a point out of flashing them. I downloaded a close-up so we could zoom in a bit more... ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149179364-1713929376.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Melissa McCarthy attends the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) ... but you still have to pop the photo out (click the box in the lower right that has the arrow coming out of it) to read it. One says CAN WOMEN KILL and then KISS HERE on one finger. I can't read all of the other one? Is this promoting something? A mystery! ## Luis Miranda and Lin-Manuel Miranda ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149174979-1713924539.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: (L-R) Luis A. Miranda Jr and Lin-Manuel Miranda attend the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) I appreciate Lin's dad for going ALL IN. ## Noah Galvin, Ben Platt ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149178554-1713924632.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Noah Galvin and Ben Platt attend the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) I feel like neither one of these people has mastered pants. Ben's aren't as bad as usual? But he always looks like he just came from a hard workout. ## Meena Harris ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149175649-1713924571.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Meena Harris attends the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) Pretty material, but this style seems awfully dated, and not in a fun retro way. ## Rebecca Wisocky ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149176405-1713924594.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Rebecca Wisocky attends the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) More thematic white! She is very funny in Ghosts, and I just now noticed she reminds me a bit of Geena Davis. ## Hillary ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149176755-1713924606.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Former United States Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton attends the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) Hillary is a producer of the musical, and also, by the looks of things, one of the event's celebrity chefs. ## Malala, and Asser Malik ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149179097-1713924670.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: (L-R) Malala Yousafzai and Asser Malik attend the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) Malala ALSO co-produces. Get this woman a Tony! ## Madison Bailey ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149178427-1713924619.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Madison Bailey attends the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) This is allegedly Madison Bailey from Outer Banks, but... is it? Maybe I'm just thrown by the makeup, and/or the fact that I'm used to seeing her in cutoffs trying to escape from pirates. ## D'Arcy Carden ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149175586-1713924551.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: D'Arcy Carden attends the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Bruce Glikas/WireImage) Sensible: The Sequel! ## Rachel Brosnahan ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149182860-1713924693.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Rachel Brosnahan poses at the opening night of the new musical "Suffs" on Broadway at The Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Bruce Glikas/WireImage) And, The Sensible Trilogy concludes with a banger of a finish. ## Sara Bareilles ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149178867-1713924657.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Sara Bareilles attends the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) This is the prequel, *Insensible: When Neckties Attack*. ## Anna Wintour ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/04/GettyImages-2149178620-1713924644.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - APRIL 18: Anna Wintour and Sara Bareilles attend the "Suffs" Broadway Opening Night at Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images) Far be it from me to critique the Queen of all Fashion Media herself, but I do not think these two striped items play well together even in a quirky way. I SAID WHAT I SAID.
