OH, I kid you. Anne Hathaway, that will chase you forever. You should have just sucked it up and I bet nobody would've even made the comparison (and not for nothing, you never stood together). ANYWAY: She looks gorgeous and they are adorable and her husband was a personal trainer when she met/married him, and he appears to be handling royal life with aplomb. (Also interesting: She only has two boyfriends of record, both named Daniel.) ## Marie Fredricksson ![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/170191466.xml) ROXETTE. I know that's not her name, but still. She is always Roxette. I hope she sang "She's Got The Look" when Madeleine came up the aisle, followed with "It Must Have Been Love," despite it being wildly inappropriate, and then closed with "Joyride." But where is Per Gessle? Apparently he's a successful solo artist in Sweden and a businessman there now and such. Couldn't he have hauled himself out for a triumphant reunion? Also, I am feeling Anne Heche as the casting in YOUR biopic. ## Hereditary Princess Kelly of Saxe-Coburg ![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/170175563.xml) Kelly married Prince Hubertus, whose title actually involves no official state or monarchical clout -- it's really just sort of a nod to the fact that, yeah, the Saxe-Coburg duchy used to be very important and so let's give them a pat on the back and say thanks. Kelly looks very nice, and I love the fact that all these royal people wore tiaras to a royal wedding. I mean, especially if you are royal in only the most perfunctory sense, you might as well -- when ELSE do you dust off the jewels? ## Celina Midelfart ![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/170180356.xml) She is apparently a Norwegian businesswoman. I know this because her Wikipedia page says solely, "a Norwegian businesswoman." And this is awesome. She looks tremendous, which is noteworthy chiefly because of what you will see that she wore to the rehearsal dinner (that slideshow goes up later, and yes, I wrote "sideshow" by mistake first, and yes, that's apt). ## Anna Westling Soderstrom ![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/170174928.xml) Anna is apparently the sister of Crown Vic's husband. Her dress has the distinction of being pretty even as it also looks like she is being devoured by a pair of carnivorous clams. ## Princess Martha Louise of Norway ![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/170172855.xml) Martha Louise -- who has distanced herself and her business from the royals of Norway, and thus pays income tax there, which I find interesting -- wrote a children's book, studied holistic healing and physiotherapy, and "claims she can communicate with animals and angels." I guess this is a handy service to offer at a wedding, in case a pack of rabid dogs bursts in and needs to be reasoned with; her dress, sadly, looks a bit rumpled and dated, like a theatre costume room wedding gown that's been dyed to look like regular old Prom attire. ## Princess Anna of Bavaria ![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/170165607.xml) I Googled her name, and apparently, throughout history there have been about a hundred Princess Annas of Bavaria. HOWEVER, she is actually "Princess Anna of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg," and married Prince Manuel from the deposed Bavarian royal house of Wittelsbach, and he's a cardiology researcher at Columbia. She looks marvelous. Let's make this movie. Deposed royal houses and hella complicated monarchical backgrounds are always good for some gossip. And she got a Ph.D. in art last year, which is a cool thing to decide to do. I've decided I love her. Also, man, that is a long way to come for a wedding. ## VIcki Andren, Gustaf Magnussen, Sofia Hellqvist ![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/170164221.xml) So, Sofia on the right up there is apparently the "glamour model" who dates Madeleine's brother. So naturally, she's in the most sedate, non-saucy gown you could imagine. It's the lavender pot pourri of gowns -- generally inoffensive but sometimes too sweet to handle. ## Marcus Samuelsson ![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/170164151.xml) I love that Chef Samuelsson's wife is a) super super tall, b) wearing a disco ball, and c) bears a weird resemblance to Sofia Coppola. ## Queen Silvia and Prince Carl Philip ![](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/content/files/www-gofugyourself-com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/170164061.xml) She looks very regal and monarch-appropriate, and also quite happy. It is Désirée Margarethe Victoria Louise Sibylla Katharina Maria Prinzessin von Hohenzollern. She looks like a total kick and I love that color on her, and also, she is totally the person to sit next to and keep refilling her wine glass so you can extract all the dirt. Thanks, Wikipedia. SO MUCH CRAZY would have to happen for that to come to pass. It's another movie that needs to be made. Also: Her dress is neither bold nor particularly beautiful on her. Apparently all the obscure European royals go to New York to get ringed up. I like HER plenty. Well, suck on that judgment, Norway, because now she looks pretty damn regal. Maybe it's all for show. The Lifetime movie of this wedding -- which now basically has to happen, so I hope there was some unreported drama -- will reveal all. And we'll make up something if we have to, obviously. It can be fictionalized. I think she looks very dramatic and great, both in the color and in the massive wrap, and is a favorite of fashion magazines AND sits on the board of eight charitable foundations, or something. So she doesn't suck. And if she does... put it in the script, people. Mary McDonnell is too old to play her. Angie Harmon, maybe? Can you imagine just grabbing yourself a brand spanking new Gucci for a wedding? Also, the ball gown next to it... seriously, some people were not messing around. Also: Half of Roxette performed at the ceremony.
