(Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) That suit is great. Its blood spatter, but make it LOVELY. The review from Variety basically says his voice is too beautiful to carry menace, which is a) a nice compliment, and b) also a problem for this show, if true. Menace it up, Groban! ## Annaleigh Ashford ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476909077-1679892123.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Annaleigh Ashford attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) She is one of the few who did not follow the brief, I guess -- although her lipstick is red at least. She looks nice in what is essentially a nightgown. ## Ruthie Ann Miles ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476912393-1679892966.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Ruthie Ann Miles attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) She also kept it simple, but glam. She supposedly has a small role but is great in it -- no surprise there. I would love to see her headline something. ## Jordan Fisher and Maria Bilbao ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476918131-1679892091.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Jordan Fisher and Maria Bilbao attend "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) These two doubled down on red. Jordan, sir, have you lost your hands to the meat grinder?!? ## Nicholas Christopher ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476908505-1679892131.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Nicholas Christopher attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) My favorite thing is how many of the cast members might have been required to maintain specific mustaches in their daily lives. I am GUESSING this photocall happened after the show, so maybe those are costume? But MAYBE they are ALSO REAL. This feels very "If Evita were a bullfighter." ## Jonathan Christopher ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476912125-1679891954.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Nicholas Christopher attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) ALSO a bit matador-chic. ## Taeler Cyrus ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476911518-1679891970.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Taeler Cyrus attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) She looks like a glamorous saloon proprietress. ## Stephen Tewksbury ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476911924-1679891962.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Stephen Tewksbury attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) Even the production manager got in on the action. ## Jamie Jackson ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476913024-1679892083.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Jamie Jackson attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) SIR. This is a SPOILER!!! (This is why I thought maybe they did this after the show. Imagine having to take all that off just to go on-stage and... I guess get it all put on again?) ## Kyrie Courter ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476913474-1679891946.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Kyrie Courter attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) "No murder for me, please and thank you!" ## Lea Salonga ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476929413-1679892075.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Lea Salonga attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) We've reached the "honored guests" portion of the day. Lea is of course the golden voice from the original Miss Saigon, and many other things.("A Whole New World," anyone?) She is still gorgeous, and I love that she too embraced red. ## Denee Benton ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476929566-1679892067.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Denee Benton attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) Mae was captioned "and guest" and I am mortally offended on her behalf. It might as well have said, "[Her](https://loveinterest.fandom.com/wiki/Ann%5FVeal?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)?" THIS IS ANN VEAL, MOFOS. Also, Mae has been acting since she was a baby, practically, and has been making me cry basically exactly that long. Put some respect on her name, Informative Caption! But maybe not on the color of her tights. I don't know. I'm undecided. ## Busy Philipps ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476921570-1679892043.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Busy Philipps attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) I wonder if Michelle W was there lurking in the wings somewhere, as Busy is her pal and Thomas Kail is her husband. Busy brought enough pattern for both of them. ## Victor Garber ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476932114-1679892034.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Victor Garber attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) Vanessa is bringing enough red oomph for the both of them. ## Harvey Fierstein ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476932338-1679892026.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Harvey Fierstein attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) Matching his tie to his trainers is an elite move. ## Vanessa Williams ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476932557-1679892018.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Vanessa Williams attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) Oh, I definitely want to try on this coat. ## Billy Eichner ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476945551-1679891995.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Billy Eichner attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) That is a well-deployed brown suit. I didn't see the Polo-style shirt coming, but it works. ## Alan Cumming ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/03/GettyImages-1476945171-1679892011.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MARCH 26: Alan Cumming attends "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street" Broadway revival opening night at Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 26, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images) Luckily Norm took care of it! "I'm fine" is an excellent touch.
