Maura Tierney is a treasure. I liked her on Newsradio. She was tremendous on ER, even if her character Abby was often frustrating or sullen. She got breast cancer a few years back and had to drop out of Parenthood after filming the pilot -- the role went to Lauren Graham,

You know how some performers bring out the best in certain designers? I think Amy Adams must be a good influence on Donatella Versace. It's hard to believe this is the same house that made Heidi Klum's monstrous canary shower curtain. I LOVE this on Amy.

I always do love seeing a pattern on the red carpet, and this one feels particularly tactile somehow. I have no idea what that fabric feels like, obviously, but it certainly photographs like it must be lush, and the flowers really leap out at you. They seem three-dimensional at

Between the slinky Kors, the tousled hair, and the plunging neckline... ... I think Olivia Wilde is doing Kate Hudson better than Kate Hudson is. My only beef with this is one you can't entirely detect in pictures, although bless them, the photographers tried: It was clear as day

I am basically in raptures over this funky green pattern. And yes, that is one seriously deep vee, but isn't shocking or tawdry or overexposed to me -- for one, even with all that skin, very little is hanging out; for another, the dress earns that plunge with its

Things had been SO dismal with this one for the last few months that I actually shouted, "OH THANK GOD," when she showed up in this: I LOVE her in navy -- a hue she hardly ever wears -- and you know I react kindly to sparkles. I want to

This photo very much captures how Kate Hudson's equilibrium seemed to be all night. I don't know when her pre-party started, but by the looks and sounds of things, it may have been sometime Friday afternoon. As for the gown... When you have a body
