I read somewhere that Shonda Rhimes says she quite likes writing herself into a corner and then giving herself the summer to figure out what the hell to do about it. Of course, last summer she wrote Columbus Short into a corner in case he needed to be fired (which

Tell me, Fug Nationals: Does this disclaimer always/often run in front of Scandal? Because I watch it next-day on Hulu, and this is the first time I've noticed it there -- or at least, the first time in a while. It certainly wasn't present during

Let's get right to what everyone is wondering about: Yes, the OPA conference table DOES still look good with a mostly dead body lying on it. And let us also compliment the work of Russell, who not only stomped the yard right out of Jake, but then cleaned

Well, Susan Ross may be a bit of a Mary Sue right now -- she is too awesome to be true -- but her parts of the episode had panache and life, which only underscored how grim the rest is. With apologies to Scott Foley, who can only do the job he

Did you enjoy one blessed week fee and clear of B-Ieber? Because it's BACK, and it's opening its gaping, salivating mouth and preparing to chow down on the remaining four episodes of this show. We begin in David Rosen's office, where almost nothing

This episode was much better -- it felt like a step back to the Scandal of yore, albeit slightly marred by the fact that it's HARD to backtrack when just last week Huck was cutting the throat of a young woman so casually, for selfish motivations that he made

It's the Lena Dunham episode, ladies and gents, and it is all about the bang -- both the ones on her wig, and the sexual kind. Lena plays a brilliant former chemistry major turned ex-EPA employee who has decided to have kinky sex with all the Washington power

In case you're wondering, "Diego Muñoz" is Huck's real name. And you're crazy if you didn't think I just sung to myself, of this noted deathmonger, "Where In The World Is Harmin' Man Diego?" Listen, I NEVER

This episode was better. It could not have gotten WORSE than the last two, but still. We left off with Olivia being sold for an undisclosed cash amount to Iran. Everyone -- including me -- thought Iran was going to turn out to be somebody covertly bidding for Olivia and then spiriting

Let me first say: I know it's exhausting when the person covering a show really dislikes the show. And I'm sorry Scandal has gone that way. I really am. But if it helps, I do at least find it fascinating how far this show has plummeted,

Let's begin this recap with a pressing question I saw mentioned on Twitter. Has Fitz been dipping into the Just For Men? It DOES resemble an After shot in a commercial where he runs his fingers through his hair and smiles like he's in an '

So, this episode was "intense." I put it in quotes because I personally wasn't into it, but you can tell the writers wrote the word INTENSE on the whiteboard and underlined and circled it three times. It has all the hallmarks of someone doing their Most

So, apparently, now that the sun isn't shining and thus no one can go stand in it, Shondaland needs to make a new phrase happen. Unfortunately, they chose "little bitch baby," an epithet Connor spat at Michaela in episode two of How To Get Away With
