In which The Good Wife producers embed an extremely pointed and crabby message to recappers and freeze-framers all over the world. I'm not kidding. It's at the end of the recap. As for the rest: This show has an amazing ability to be timely, because

"All options remain open to me now," parrots Alicia in this hour, over and over, at Eli's behest. This episode is all about people who ostensibly have power realizing -- or being reminded -- of how little they actually possess. And it was marginally better, albeit mostly because

THE ELECTION IS OVER, Finn appears, Diane kills, we have a West Wing cameo and related gaffe, and Lemond Bishop plummets in the standings. It's been a lackluster season of The Good Wife, and this episode wasn't much better, but at least it gave me Diane

Another mediocre episode this week, which took only baby steps toward any larger plot points, but DID at least see the return of Gary Cole. I will always welcome that scamp with open arms. Sorry this is so tardy -- between The Royals premiering and Fug Madness starting, The Good Wife

As a kid, I loved this random Judy Blume book called Just As Long As We're Together (it's about coming of age, changing friendships, etc.), in which the main character Steph put a poster of Richard Gere over her bed  -- she renamed him Benjamin Moore, after

Welcome back, Good Wife. Thank you for staying away until How To Get Away With Murder wrapped up, because those two at once were a few too many lawyers for my taste. And now, without further ado, we resume the weekly Power Suit Ranking -- which, as a refresher, mixes an

"Do you want to be a good man?" "I want to be effective." "Does one discount the other?" "It can." So said Peter to Pastor Isaiah in this episode, although I wonder if that will end up applying as much to Alicia

The last frame of this episode had me shouting, "Wait, WHAT?" I'm getting a little weary of the election stuff, but it's made for some intriguing changes to Alicia's character, and I can't decide if she's going to

No more new episodes until January, so in the meantime we can dissect this very odd episode. Parts of it were very funny, parts of it were very sad, but on the whole I think it was a little TOO cutesy with itself to the point where I got distracted

Someone crawls out of the basement, someone drops from the top, and Peter gets his knickers handed to him. So yeah, BIG DOINGS here on the Power Suit Rankings. But let's begin with a beloved old friend. 21. Joe Jr. You might remember this strapping lad from While

"Stop acting like this is about you becoming a better person." "Just tell me what to do." The former was said by Eli, to Alicia, and the latter -- in a later scene -- by her to him. And I think they might mark a real shift in

I like Cary and Alicia's relationship, but I almost wonder if this whole season is one long Cary Agos swan song somehow. Because he's being dumped on relentlessly, and it's gotten to the point where he's so downtrodden, I'm not

Of all the crossovers I've imagined between this show and Scandal, my most urgent and new favorite is Elsbeth Tascioni being Fitz's Attorney General. Just IMAGINE the beautiful aneurysms she would give Cyrus. It's my new bliss, truly. 19. Cary This poor guy. He

I never thought I would say this in a Good Wife recap, but: Stay tuned for the penguin in a top hat. (Scandal, though... I mean, aren't we ALL just waiting for one to turn up there?) 14. Cary and Taye Diggs Presumably they're resting Matt

How much do you want to bet that The Good Wife hopes Julianna Margulies will call her old pal Intern George and solicit a cameo from Amal Alamuddin? She and Alicia could powersuit the HELL out of it together. 13. Diane & Cary This shot is apt for how these
