"Hello. I'm back. Remember me? I HAVE always loved sparkle and also a good miniskirt."

This is fun; the VMAs is always a party (or it used to be, anyway), and if you're going to pull this number, the VMAs is a place to wear it. It's also slightly more naked than Taylor generally goes, which is a fun change.

Here's your back. I might wish there were a little more bejeweled action on her butt; it's so obviously not a bare bum under there (WHICH IS FINE!!!) so it looks a teeeeny unfinished. Let me be clear: This is a nitpick. It needs like one more strand of diamonds.

These shoes are extremely fun and props to Taylor for being able to walk in these after at least two years of being at home like the rest of us.

This is objectively too long on her -- as you'll see in the next shot -- but there's nothing to be done about that, as it surely has to go back to the designer. I think this is GREAT on her. It's sexy and bright and interesting and fun.

This doesn't even bother me. Good for you! (It also likely has a crotch sewn into the interior so things are certainly secure.)

Sure! This feels a bit like Versace Meets the Blonds to me, but it fits her beautifully.

And she seems to love it. It's honestly absolutely unobjectionable!

This is also obviously not objectionable. Every time she or her sister show up somewhere, I feel like their vibe is very slightly Why Am I Doing This?

Ugh, don't get me started on Melissa and Joe!! (Melissa is definitely definitely wearing this as an homage to Britney's "Toxic" jumpsuit.) It takes a lot to get me to side with Theresa on RHoNJ but these two have been acting deranged lately!! This post has been brought to you in my capacity as GFY's Bravo Cinematic Universe Expert.

I was not familiar with Shenseea but Prof. Google tells me she is a "Jamaican dancehall artist" and she's got a song with Megan Thee Stallion and has worked with Kanye and a bunch of people. I am always in favor of people wearing Marc Jacobs to stuff anymore.

This is both kind of cool AND I think it involves like seven-nine discarded denim jackets.

Her Instagram claimed this look was a partnership with Instacart and I sincerely could not tell if this was a joke. (She snuck snacks in.) Then I went to Instacart's Instagram and it was an actual partnership. I don't even know anymore. I do NOT begrudge folks getting paid, but also "SNL star wears Instacart-sponsored sleeping bag to VMAs" seems like a Mad Lib that went OFF THE RAILS.

She called this "Cart Couture" and...it's kinda good and also I don't really get what's happening. Like, this is SponCon, but is the dress meant to...be....something? I get Instacart all the time and sleeping bags are never involved!

I actually legit think this is cool, but I liked it better when I wasn't having to research what Instacart had to do with it, to be honest. Over the last couple of years, Chloe -- who I think is very funny, although I'm too old to stay up for SNL anymore -- has shown up at a lot of major events that other SNL people haven't attended, wearing looks that most comedians on her level wouldn't necessarily be able to have pulled for them. Like....someone is spending money here (even just to hire her a primo team). She wants off SNL, is my theory, and someone is investing in making her enough of a name to make it happen sooner than later. Maybe this is where the Instacart money comes in!
