Robin Thede, right, the creator, star and executive producer of the HBO comedy series "A Black Lady Sketch Show," and executive producer Issa Rae pose together for a portrait during the 2019 Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour at the Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills, Calif 2019 Summer TCA - "A Black Lady Sketch Show" Portrait Session, Beverly Hills, USA - 24 Jul 2019 These two were at HBO's session because Robin created and stars in a show Issa is EP'ing called A Black Lady Sketch Show. Robin looks fabulous. Issa is a marvel in that color but the dress is a little the worse for wear, and when she sat down... ## Issa Rae ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/07/shutterstock_10346491b-1564036317.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (10346491b) Issa Rae speaks in HBO's "A Black Lady Sketch Show" panel at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, in Beverly Hills, Calif 2019 Summer TCA - HBO, Beverly Hills, USA - 24 Jul 2019 ... it ended up a little more bare than I bet she intended. ## Regina King ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/07/shutterstock_10345824s-1564036308.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Buchan/Variety/Shutterstock (10345824s) Regina King HBO 'Watchmen' TV Show panel, TCA Summer Press Tour, Los Angeles, USA - 24 Jul 2019 She's in Watchmen, I gather. I love this photo. She looks as if she is listening very patiently to your bullshit and then in a minute she's going to stop you right there and deliver a perfect rebuke. (I love her suit.) ## JB Smoove ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/07/shutterstock_10345503m-1564036253.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Buchan/Variety/Shutterstock (10345503m) JB Smoove DC Universe 'Harley Quinn' TV show panel, TCA Summer Press Tour, Los Angeles, USA - 23 Jul 2019 Speaking of suits I like. This is... wait for it... smoove. ## Megan Hilty ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/07/shutterstock_10345511ar-1564036268.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Buchan/Variety/Shutterstock (10345511ar) Megan Hilty Lifetime 'Patsy & Loretta' panel, TCA Summer Press Tour, Los Angeles, USA - 23 Jul 2019 Lifetime has made *Patsy & Loretta*, and Megan Hilty is Patsy Cline. She got up and performed in this terrible jumpsuit, and I love her, and I might actually watch this. Because I ALSO love... ## Jessie Mueller ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/07/shutterstock_10345511al-1564036261.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Buchan/Variety/Shutterstock (10345511al) Megan Hilty and Jessie Mueller Lifetime 'Patsy & Loretta' panel, TCA Summer Press Tour, Los Angeles, USA - 23 Jul 2019 ... Jessie Mueller (*Waitress*, *Beautiful*), who is playing Loretta Lynn. She looks lovely here and I just really hope this movie somehow includes a motherf'ing sing-off. ## John Goodman, Cassidy Freeman, Danny McBride. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/07/shutterstock_10346493y-1564036341.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (10346493y) John Goodman, Cassidy Freeman, Danny McBride. John Goodman, from left, Cassidy Freeman and creator/executive producer/director/writer Danny McBride participate in HBO's "The Righteous Gemstones" panel at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, in Beverly Hills, Calif 2019 Summer TCA - HBO, Beverly Hills, USA - 24 Jul 2019 These fine folks are in something called *The Righteous Gemstones*, "following three generations of a famous televangelist family with a tradition of charitable work, deviance and greed." Sounds right! I COULD NOT figure out what I knew Cassidy from, and then I realized she was -- briefly -- Sage on *Vampire Diaries* (but is better known from *Longmire*). She was also apparently on *Smallville*, so I bet she has NOTES about all this NXIVM shit. She looks a lot like Frances McDormand to me in this shot, and I like her dress. THE END. ## Breeda Wool ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/07/shutterstock_10345620c-1564036287.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (10345620c) Breeda Wool attends AT&T Audience's "Mr. Mercedes" photo opp at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, in Beverly Hills, Calif 2019 Summer TCA - AT&T Audience, Beverly Hills, USA - 23 Jul 2019 Breeda is on *Mr. Mercedes*, but I know her from the first season of *UnREAL*. I... would like her dress better if it had sides. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/07/shutterstock_10345518ae-1564036278.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Buchan/Variety/Shutterstock (10345518ae) Breeda Wool AT&T Audience Network 'Mr. Mercedes' TV Show panel, TCA Summer Press Tour, Los Angeles, USA - 23 Jul 2019 That vee also seems stressful to wrangle. ## Ruth Wilson ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/07/shutterstock_10346493ar-1564036330.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (10346493ar) Ruth Wilson participates in HBO's "His Dark Materials" panel at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, in Beverly Hills, Calif 2019 Summer TCA - HBO, Beverly Hills, USA - 24 Jul 2019 Ruth seems into this bodice right now -- this is similar to the red one she just wore to TCAs. HBO has remade *His Dark Materials*, a book series I wish I had liked better. It's full of interesting people though, like Ruth here, and James McAvoy, his ex Anne Marie Duff, Helen McCrory, Clarke Peters(!!), Will Keen (Michael Adeane on *The Crown*), and... ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2019/07/shutterstock_10345822aq-1564036299.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Buchan/Variety/Shutterstock (10345822aq) Ruth Wilson and Lin-Manuel Miranda HBO 'His Dark Materials' TV Show panel, TCA Summer Press Tour, Los Angeles, USA - 24 Jul 2019 ... Lin-Manuel Miranda. I'm curious to see how that goes, because I think acting is itself not actually one of his bigger strengths? Maybe he'll do his part in song.
