Carrie is on HBO's The Leftovers, but you might remember her from being AWESOME as Ben Affleck's sister in Gone Girl. I sincerely thought she was excellent in that. Initially, I also loved this outfit -- the color and the skirt are so COOL, to the point where I didn't even mind about the shoes. But then I looked a bit closer. I liked it MORE when I thought it actually was separates rather than a dress. But that might be too much pickyness, especially because we didn't get a proper red carpet shot and so maybe it actually all looks killer when she's not walking purposefully to her chair. I don't know. I mean, it's STILL really good. I just might've liked a crisper top with it, tucked into a skirt.

Those shoes ARE harshing the buzz of how otherwise awesome she looks. That dress is extremely good on her.

MORE buzz-harshing footwear. Just go with your black motorcycle boots, Justin. Sometimes they're right.

He DOES have a fetching grin, though.

Sir Patrick here is on "Blunt Talk" on Starz, co-starring Jacki Weaver, Ed Begley, Jr., and Romany Malco of Weeds and The 40-Year Old Virgin (I love him). It's described as "a British newscaster moves to Los Angeles with his alcoholic manservant and the baggage of several failed marriages to host a sanctimonious talk show," and is generally well-reviewed, but it's EP'd by Seth MacFarlane. It is an impossible choice: Swallow my MacFarlane distaste, which is a bolus the size of Jupiter, or embrace my love of the P.Stew?

I KNOW, SIR. It's a poser. However, I am enamored of his recent Strongbow commercial - the one in which he gets fired mid-line. He's flawless in it. And in that jacket.

Dolly here had to do double-TCA-duty, for Doll & Em (with Emily Mortimer, HBO) and Blunt Talk. In the spirit of the latter, here is some: She's dressed like she's offering free promotional oil changes afterward.

BUT, hello! That gent on the right there is Timm Sharp, aka the character on Undeclared I referred to as Shaggy. We were JUST discussing this relative to Charlie Hunnam, and LO, here Timm Sharp appears. I'm happy to see him. Hellcrackers, does that mean I have to watch this?

She's in a show called "Into the Badlands," which could also describe that dress.

They are on a show called Survivor's Remorse, which I guess has been on already and is produced by LeBron James. Teyonah (you may remember her from Mad Men) looks FABULOUS and I can't stop gazing at her.

Holy cats, Seth, you are TAN.

She's in Ash vs. Evil Dead on Starz, and she is wearing something that would be superb on a lanai with cocktails and cheesecake.

I love all of this. Bring Bruce to the lanai, please, Lucy.
