This Dion Lee is a sister piece to the one Cara Delevingne wore on the Paper Towns trail. The longer-form gown suits the design MUCH better, as does this version of the bodice. Cara's looks tight and terrible, like she got caught by a very classy fisherman, whereas Michelle's has a bit of vintage glam about the top.

Having said that, in the shot of her seated, the top looks more dated than a pleasant throwback. It might be the kind of ensemble you should only wear when you're standing the entire night. That COLOR, though, is exquisite on her.

And, she's growing out her hair again. It looks nice on her, but her bob was really, REALLY enviable and I loved it. Maybe I should be thankful, because this significantly reduces the chance that I will get an ill-advised one.

Lady Edith is so fetching in real life, but we need to talk her into a more exciting styling team. Also, that is altogether too much toe cleavage for my liking. Toe squish is not sexy.

She looks fabulous except for the Miss Piggy for Hanes tights.

I love you, Lord G. Very dapper. ALSO, I love this photo Michelle Dockery posted to her Instagram of the fab four leaving Heathrow. Do you think Jessica Brown Findlay ever has regrets about leaving? She's working a fair bit, but Winter's Tale was awful, and I guess we'll have to wait and see if Victor Frankenstein lights the world on fire to know if she might've been better served staying on the soap.

Isobel Crawley is also present, by the way, as is JoFro. They all look nice and I hope they all get lots of happiness and action this season. Particularly Isobel. I have confidence that they're not bringing Matthew Goode back just to toy with us and then break our hearts by Mary getting none of his mouth, but Isobel really really has earned a happily ever after, and not JUST with Violet.

She's in the new PBS Civil War drama Mercy Street, and y'all, if you'd told me years ago that I'd be writing that sentence about someone who used to be on Passions...
Lots of these people weren't photographed standing, but I will say that if you know you're at an event that's primarily seated, maybe pick an outfit that actually WORKS that way?

See? That one is better.

I have concerns that if I watch this, I will spend the whole time laughing at how Josh Radnor looks in it (this is his Mercy Street hair, from what I can glean).

Gary Cole, however, looks perfect for it. Gary Cole looks perfect for everything. I love Gary Cole in all situations and I suspect this will be no exception.
