If you're interested in knowing what haircut I had for much of high school: BEHOLD! Other Samantha Mathis facts: (1) She was River Phoenix's girlfriend when he died. (I do not know if there is anything that makes a person MORE of a 90s icon than the combo of making your film debut in a Christian Slater movie and later dating River Phoenix.) (2) She is currently the Vice-President of SAG-AFTRA. Samantha Mathis is second-in-command to ANDREA ZUCKERMAN and people in Hollywood still forget that Gen X exists?! The erasure. (3) Her apartment is very nice.

I am now and WAS EVEN THEN concerned by the woman behind Samantha, in what looks like another Clinique Counter lab coat that's layered over bike shorts. WHAT.

C. Thomas Howell sort of looks like Willem Dafoe here; his date, Lala Zappa, has a very educational Wiki. For one thing, she's not a Zappa -- her aunt was married to Frank Zappa. You do not get to adopt the last name of your aunt's husband, generally. (Ahmet Zappa is in Pump Up the Volume, though, and I assume they're there for him, so they must have been tight.) She also dated C Thomas, and Corey Haim, and then was married to Black Crows singer/Kate Hudson's ex Chris Robinson. (Who is, btw, currently on Wife #4.) What I'm saying is...I think Lala here probably has GREAT STORIES and should perhaps start a newsletter. She also looks very cute here.
